I get you that is not all they work on but I don't see a point on trying to perfect the perfect falling backwards pass lol. I see the benefit of learning to throw more accurately on the run or different arm launch points. But still would rather see a QB not get used to bad mechanics just because you can throw sidearm don't make it a habit like Stafford.
Well it only comes into play a few times a game if that.
They ARE working on the other things. But a qb who has to throw off his back foot is doing that because on the plays where that happens, there;s no escaping the pocket, no stepping up into the pocket, and pressure is pushing in. A couple times a game if he can throw better under those conditions, fine.
That doesn't mean, obviously, that he will throw off his back foot all the time.
