Re: NFL offering "opt out". Here's a novel approach: separate from your family

What an incredibly narrow minded and ridiculous post. Nfl players are young adults who are paid handsomely to entertain millions of fans. Their job description is basically be a good citizen, be entertaining and try to win a game. Nowhere in that job description are they asked to sacrifice the health or well being of their family or leave their families for long periods of time. I am a teacher and nowhere in my job description does it ask me to leave my family for long periods of time or sacrifice their health and well being potentially. Armed forces, incredible brave young men and women sign up knowing that they may risk their lives for others and risk being away from family for long periods of time. I want football as much as the next person but I fully understand why players are cautious. They should not sacrifice their time with family or their families potential health to entertain us- how selfish can we get? The reason schools are not reopening here in California is for many reasons. I want to teach, I would teach with a mask. It is not the fear of just kids getting sick its about them getting other kids sick or teachers sick who then go home, stop at the market on the way home, get people at the store potentially sick and then family members at home sick. I would not be willing to lose family contact for 6 months- that is way beyond what I signed up for, just like NFL players
