Nobody said they were rich. But by any measure a person who makes over $2 million in 3 years is a millionaire unless that person blows it all. Are we now redefining "millionaire" for players because they don't have long careers?
As for the pay cut. If your employer simply can't pay because of something like this pandemic that takes a huge bite out of the company's revenues, so be it.
But for us to wring our hands over these players making their money is as bad as worrying over the owners going bankrupt or something. Neither is going to happen.
As much as we put these players on pedestals, they are no different than the rest of us. They just make a heck of a lot more money by playing a kid's game really really well.
