He is who HE is.....in his career so far...he can't feel pressure...he holds the ball too long.....he needs a strong supporting cast around him....doesn't mean he's a poor QB....he has his times which to me shows he can be better than average....but don't put names like Brady, Manning, Wilson etc. in the same realm....He's proven he can do remarkable things....but for those things to go that way everyone around him must play up to their best as well....The TD by Everett vs. the chiefs....great throw yes...but Everett's effort is what got the TD...Without the throw no chance for the TE...at the same time the throw itself did not bring the TD...
He IMO will never be a guy who raises the bar of those around him....I just want him to grow into a part where he allows us a chance at the points of certain games.....not take them over...IMO that is not in his DNA....
This season hinges on a lot of efforts, he is a main part, but will he ever be able to feel pressure? IMO that is something that is in a guys body...it can't be learned....can he read a defense? IMO that can be learned over time....
I agree with you on Goff may never be any of those QBs but I'm talking about mastering the offense and being a surgeon. I feel he has the potential to be he did beat Wilson, Brees, mahomes and just about took down Brady all in the same year of the Superbowl run. He has the physical tools, we just need to see the maturity and mastery of the offense to see those results. His problem is in between the ears right now I don't see any physical limitations with him.
