Hammer--regarding our WRs as deep threats: these are my observations:
THere is no fear (from CBs perspective) of Kupp or Woods going deep--and every game you see the corners don't care too much, as opposed to Cooks there is a true fear of being burned deep-we know this because when Cooks was hurt the Rams other WRs had trouble getting open consistently.
Van, I think, can go deep..who knows.
Woods and Reynolds
"can" not run successful 9 routes at all....there is ZERO fear. Ya, so Reynolds did the deeper crosser....one time in a season. That is why the offense was so pedestrian when Cooks was gone.
Kupp on deep 9s? lol. When did he run a straight 9 and beat someone?
The Rams can win 11 games with this 'new' offense, because of McVay's playcalling, Goff's accuracy, and if the line plays well, but to win 12-13 games and win the division we need a deep threat that makes the FS have concern every play. THe Rams WRs are great.
