I would consider first and second round picks to be premium picks, and they haven't used many of those on the OL. Seems to me a deliberate philosophical approach on their part. Minor point--Corbett was a trade not an FA. And of course investments in high draft picks is not the only way to build a solid OL and in fact it doesn't always work to do it that way. The Rams apparently believe in developing 3rd through 5th rounders. Which as we know is an approach that has worked for other teams before.

I think investing in high OL pick may placate some fans. I don't think it;s necessary to build an OL that way and the league proves all the time that there are other ways to build solid OLs. There are plenty of examples.
