but first... I posted similarly a day or so ago.... on film he has some instincts and moves that are extraordinary. So I really like the kid, and have very high hopes.
That said, it amazes how many RB's show similar in college and then lose it at the NFL level. And I don't know why. Obviously it's not 'all of them'... but I think many, even most.
Perhaps it's the 'next level' thing... some intimidation, not 'giving up' exactly but relaxing.
And I don't discount having it drilled out of the them... coaching methods, demanding adaption to a 'system' that stifles their instinctive skills.

Was thinking the very thing while watching Cam's highlights the other day. I was just as excited as last year watching Hendo's highlights. But despite being called the "most dynamic back in the draft", Hendo left me scratching my head a lot of the time. Maybe he gets it, maybe he perks up, maybe we have an exciting duo. And then again, maybe not. Like you say, all these guys in the few first rounds have lots of exciting college tape. Plenty of nifty moves. But like most trying to crack the NFL, the majority are JAGS. Going to be hard to separate the wheat from the chaff with this funky off season ahead of us and likely going to come down to game day before we know what the heck we have.
