PaulButcher59Let`s see how Dobbins vs. Akers pro careers turn out. My $$$$ is on Dobbins!
The one thing I will say is at least Akers is used to running behind a bad OL. That will continue at least into his rookie season in the NFL
I inquire because I watched every game J.K. Dobbins played at Ohio State & some of them in Columbus live....Not taking anything away from Dobbins, but in 2018, when he struggled, he complained that the reason was because that QB Dewayne Haskins was not threat to run out of the RPO and defenses were keying on him limiting his effectiveness.
Now I'm not posting Dobbins is not great kid that overcame quite a bit to be the starting tailback at The Ohio State University, but he did offer that up as the reason he was limited in 2018. Also J.K. is not the best receiver out of the backfield although he did have some great plays in that area against Michigan.
Overall, it's about scheme and I posted that I thought Dobbins was a great fit for the Ravens, but Cam Akers fits McVay's scheme better and that is why he's a Ram. I never fault a coach for going after his guy and you're entitled to your own opinion as long as it's yours and it's not because what you have read from others...I have watched both running backs and I would have taken Akers because he's more of a complete back, but that's JMHO because I watched them play!
