Reynolds has ability, no question. But I agree there is a BIG leap from a solid WR4 to a starter. And it's very much TBD if he can do that.
While he's made plays- and I think he's at his best running crossing routes and along the sidelines- his career catch percentage is just 50.8% (61/120). A starter has to be at least 60%. Cooks, as a downfield threat, was 64%. Can more consistent work for JR with Goff and the starting unit accomplish that? Maybe..
To me, best case scenario for Reynolds is he steps up as a bigger contributor this year (35 catches?) while the Rams also draft a WR in the top 84. And maybe another team sees enough in Reynolds to pay him in 2021 and net the Rams a late 2022 compensatory pick.
