much like last year we had no idea of what to expect
We lost Saffold and Sullivan and plugged in Noteboom and Allen and Havenstein regressed and badly. Blythe was awful at RG
The Rams have a very much aging LT in Whitworth who IMO well past his prime and trust me when I tell you that in a ideal world the Rams very much wanted Noteboom to have replaced him by now
by mid-season all of those player were gone to injury with the exception of Whit and Blythe who slid over to center
Did the Rams line play better down the stretch? Did the schedule soften and defenses they faced help in the second half of the season? Yes to both
The truth IMO is it makes no more sense to predict the Rams oline to recover than it does to say they will be terrible
We don't know what we have.... we do not have enough data
Unfortunately we are in .... wait and see mode this year
Edwards shows promise and adds some much needed athleticism to this line. We really need Noteboom to play a lot better and angrier and stronger. I might move Haveinstein to guard... Blythe is what we have at center. Is he very good? No but he appears to be serviceable. Whit is 500 billion years old. Love his leadership and determination but he can't play forever. The Rams have some serious questions
And of course we don't know what will come out of the draft
For me its not about being doom or gloom but realistic
