I certainly agree with your assessment that Snead collaborated with both Fisher and McVay on roster decisions, zn. It’s well known that that is the Ram FO philosophy.
But I will say that McVay and his staff get a big edge in player development over Fisher and his staff. The result being more apparent ‘bang for the buck’ out of the Snead/McVay collaboration. I think that there’s sufficient evidence in on both collaborations and it’s not even close.
Yeah in terms of draft process, we're in complete agreement.
In terms of drafting, pretty good (with a couple of 1st round blunders) got even better.
But IMO your statement about player development is way too broad.
There was nothing wrong with defensive player development from 2012-2016. At all.
And on a lower level of significance, special teams too.
The one real thing people can point to in order to try the "couldn't develop players from 2012-2016" routine is WR.
Can't count qb or OL---both positions were trounced by injuries in that period. Though picking Robinson did not help things there.
So as I said IMO you're a bit too categorical.
