Once again it is very hard for me to think the Rams aren't sitting there looking at a starter for the edge when they're on the clock. Also I think Anae in this defense is a potential ROY and Pro Bowl type player (i.e. playing next to Donald plus our secondary I think will be very good). Greenard is similar, although I think his natural pass rushing instincts aren't as good as those of Anae.

Only reason I'm not of the mind that our pick at 52 is 100% an edge player is because of how traumatized McVay was by the OL last season. It affected everything about his offense so undoubtedly is a very high priority. So if the OT from USC for example is on the board that might well trump even a guy like Anae due to the desire to fill that LT role long term. Barring that, Anae if he's on the board is our pick IMO. Because edge is a crucial and difficult to find commodity, because Snead loves Senior Bowl production, and because Anae looked like an impact pass rusher among the field there.

So for now I'm waiting to see what the Rams do in FA.
