It has often been said by many that there are three basic offensive schemes: the West Coast offense, the Erhardt-Perkins offense, and the Air Coryell offense. The reality is that in today’s NFL, every offense has elements of these three schemes incorporated into their playbooks, but there are distinct differences in verbiage and philosophy between the three.
