It’s hard to define an intangible like ‘culture’, zn.
But, trust me, it’s real. Like gravity, one can’t see, touch, or feel it. But it’s real, nonetheless. And one ignores either at their own peril.
Get stuck in the sticky webs of that word and you never get out to find realer and better words.
Like morale, confidence, dedication, and so on.
Meanwhile in the Seahawks best years under Carrol, around the time of the superbowls, they say the "culture" there was awful. So I don't have to rely on a vague empty term that just says "I don't know but I will use a word that pretends to know," I will say what I actually mean by that. The locker room was full of personal and emotional divisions and there was a lot of in-fighting and bad blood. But they won anyway.
There was all sorts of evidence of that stuff since it spilled over into public view.
If someone said instead "Seattle's team culture" is bad I would have no bleeding idea what they thought they meant by that.
I always prefer the real and concrete.
If you can't define a word that's because it might not be real.
