Gurley is a great dude by all accounts, but if they move him there's a good chance there's some smoke there somewhere in relationships with key people to include McVay, Goff etc. There simply is no reason to move him this early otherwise (the cap hit right now is not as palatable as moving him in the out they have in 2022) so if it happens for me it will be verification of something going on. Now that said I don't think they'll move him. But it is possible sure, it would not surprise me.

Re: Goff I've felt like it was no coincidence he wasn't quite himself this year wrt the payday. While I think most of his problems relate to the protections he also has been off in his accuracy and non-Goff-like even when protections were there and it's probably mental where he's trying to play up to that big contract. He's also a quality young man who would be willing to help the team by restructuring things.

Cooks' play is concerning not to mention the whole concussion thing but they have JRey for one more season on his rookie deal and have an out in his contract for 2021 which is where I would think they break things off. Doing it now would be rough. Might be better to stand pat on the WR group, hope Cooks has a bounceback season that helps make him tradeable, feature JRey a bit more, and focus on things like the OL group instead.

And lastly re: the front office... Been saying I'm not sure Snead is safe and still think that's the case. Rams might be considering a lesser role for him or outright replacement and finding someone that McVay wants to work with makes a ton of sense. McVay is the face of this franchise.
