McVay and Snead are both dynamic guys who can't sit still.
They have an extra 5 weeks head start compared to last year. We can guess at what they'll do, but nothing will surprise me with these guys.
Restructuring Goff makes sense, so does moving Gurley and Cooks.
Actually, I don't think Gurley will be back. I sense that his relationship with McVay and especially Goff has soured. Recently, Goff said something about Gurley being vintage Todd when he had a good game and Gurley took offense to it. Then I remember Gurley on a podcast earlier in the year saying Goff was a cheapskate. And you just don't see them connecting on the field or sidelines at all.
I wonder what will happen in the personnel department as there have been rumors about turnovers there. Who exactly is that a reflection on? And is McVay the one making the changes? I suspect he has more power with Kroenke that many of us think.
I also think Demoff has turned over a lot of his football operations and contracts responsibilities to McVay and Pastoors. He has got to be overwhelmed with the new stadium and business aspects of the move. I never thought Snead was real GM like they had with Don Klosterman. The Rams haven't operated that way since Georgia took control.
Bottom line here is that I see McVay expanding his control of this team. He appears more comfortable with overseeing the defense now, and that may lead to Wade's departure, and shaping the personnel department to his liking.
