I get a team who is out of contention doing that, but the team got at least somewhat weaker (IMHO) and it cost us draft capital.
If Whitworth retires and they let Brockers and Fowler walk that will free up a bunch of cash next year.
I think the Rams will have to pay MORE to replace Whit. Brockers' replacement will probably be a savings for equal production. Fowler's production cannot be replaced for less than what he's earning. Replacing these production will likely be a net cap loss.
