I agree. I think they let Littleton as well as the others walk and sign Fowler simply due to the nature of the position.

Based on how this Rams regime operates, they won’t let Littleton walk. He’s a Ram. Even if it’s a bad move, they’ll sign him.
My bet is they sign Littleton, Kupp, and Ramsey (because of investment).
JJohnson is trickier because of injury.
Fowler is a coin flip, IMO. They’ll get a 3rd rounder if he leaves.
Brockers takes a cut or he’s a goner.
Blythe is addition by subtraction.
They can't afford Brockers even with a cut.
And btw the buzz about Brockers from the Rams is always good. According to VB, they see him as doing thankless things that help the D but don't show up in stats. It's just the fans who look at the wrong stats for a 3/4 DE and leap to bad (and unwarranted) conclusions.
But either way they can't afford him, is my guess.
Littleton can walk because they love Howard, who is behind him. But that;s just on paper. Don't know what the Rams think of that.
