What do you mean based on how this Rams regime operates?
What is it about this regime that specifically pertains to signing Littleton?
Littleton is a home grown player who does everything the right way. He continues to be at the top of LB ratings. If the Rams signed Ogletree, there is no way they let Littleton go.
They signed Ogletree and then traded him shortly thereafter. The trade IMO was an acknowledgement that his signing was a mistake.
And keep in mind when they signed AO. It was in McVay/Wade's first season where they hadn't had much of a chance to put their stamp on personnel. But as soon as they did evals in the off season, it shouldn't be surprising to anyone if you know Wade's history, that they got rid of that contract and moved that money into the secondary by acquiring Talib and Peters.
Snead even spoke on the AO trade in the days and weeks afterwards. They basically asked Wade, "would you like this $10M in the LB position or would you like me to go get you two stud CBs?" We saw what Wade chose.
If it's not a CB or someone who pressures the QB, I'm very skeptical that they'll invest a ton of money into a player or position.
