Yes, Goff has to take better care of the ball. But that doesn’t excuse the fact that he’s been handicapped by atrocious pass protection, no running game, and long developing play calls when the defense is teeing off on him.
Goff was being asked to carry the team on his back. I’ve seen many good QBs totally collapse in that situation. His passer rating was still 80.1, that’s higher than his passer rating when we beat Dallas in playoffs last year when he was in a great situation.
