If an OL goes bad it usually takes other things with it.
QBs do not play as well when their OLs are out of sync.
The timing is off, the trust is off, the sense of confidence is off.
Not unless you're a rare qb named either Brady or Wilson---the only active qbs I have ever seen play well when their OLs were injured to pieces.
Rams fans had this same discussion in 2007 when the OL was about as injured as any I have ever seen, heard of, or read about. And many people were going, what's wrong with the qb? He played well in 2006. Well. Most qbs do not look good when the OL is struggling.
That's especially true when the team is down by multiple scores. the defense knows they have to pass, plus they have a top 10 pass rushing defense with the league's leading sack artist (Shaquil Barrett).
