Yeah, progress isn't linear. The OL was THE Rams' biggest question mark coming into 2019 and I don't see why there's a ton of hand wringing when that's the case after week 3.
I agree completely that they're not as good as they were in 2017 and 2018. And for the first time since McVay arrived they had an OL miss a start due to injury (which is pretty incredible).
I can't profess to be able to explain how they do their ratings, but
PFF ranks the Rams OL 10th after 3 weeks and
FootballOutsiders has them 3rd in run blocking and 13th in pass protection.
They clearly have work to do as the season progresses. And they need Blythe back quickly... But they're also not exactly bad.
