Sullivan's issue was declining down the stretch. From PFF:
"...center John Sullivan’s play fell off a cliff down the stretch. After allowing four pressures through the first seven games, he allowed 32 over the last nine."I think what the Rams hope for in 2019 is that while Allen may not be what Sullivan was in the first half of 2018 that he will be better than what Sullivan was in the 2nd half.
Allen has one penalty and allowed zero sacks in his first three starts. He's made some mistakes and has a lot of developing to do but so far so good.
