The Los Angeles Rams announced on Tuesday night that they’ve agreed to a contract extension with Jared Goff that would keep him in horns until 2024. The deal will pay Goff $134 million over four years and net him an NFL record $110 million in guaranteed money.
Many have speculated how big the extension would be and whether it would even happen. The Rams front office never thought twice. Sean McVay has been adamant that it was always a matter of “if, not when” the Rams extended Goff. Today, the deal finally got done. Extending Goff was never an option for the Rams. It was always a necessity.
