He did. He was far from perfect. But I just think those 7-8-1 and 7-9 seasons in 2012 and 2013 stack up better than they may appear on the surface. To me the Rams were in the top half (top 16) of the league in each of those seasons. Not stellar. But considering where they came from (2007-2011), impressive. I enjoyed those seasons. Just my opinion....
Yeah I share that view. And that includes the fact that they injured a long list of OL in the first half of 2012, yet played SF tough twice in the 2nd half of that season. I think he was good enough to do better if they had a qb for all 32 games and a (relatively healthy at least) OL the same amount of time. I doubt if they did have both those things they would have transcended football as we know it, and there were always things about those teams that bothered me (they were too chippy IMO), but they were better (and tougher) than they got credit for.
