You are speaking way too definitively about something that you don't actually have any facts. You have reports. All of the coach speak and medical reports add up to a bunch of nothing. It's what they want people to hear.
I'm far more inclined to listen to what one pro bowl RB told another pro bowl RB. Now, it may be as strategically reported as any of the other stuff so it's not like it's gospel either. But, there's at least a chance that it may be something close to the truth.
MJD "reports" TG injured himself from an impact in game 1 and played injured all season. (BTW he does not say that t TG told him
that he suffered an injury in game one. You're adding that yourself.)
So in this report, Rams do not report and injury for TG, play him most of the season WITH an injury. But they do report pain and inflammation from twice in the season.
At least the Rams version does not have them starting a running back with an unreported knee injury...which is 2 problems in 1 (starting a knee injured back who has had knee surgery, not reporting an injury).
So of the two reports, one stands up better to scrutiny. In fact we already knew about game one from both Gurley and McVay talking about it in December. I can quote that again if you like.
And we do not know what TG said to MJB. We only know what he reported. And from the looks of things, MJB got that wrong. The way this adds up to me, looks like MJB took TG
playing hurt in game 1 (which we already knew about) as actually
getting an injury in game 1 (which right now is a completely new claim). Since to me MJB'S version makes no sense, I am naturally inclined to accept the one that does make sense.\
And that's not just me who is inclined to view it like that. Here is VB from today:

All signs are pointing to a condition that needs to be managed, rather than an actual injury that needs to be fixed.
