I agree. Sometimes it gets lost just how bad the 2007-2011 Rams were. Worst five year stretch
in NFL history. And he should get some appreciation for making them instantly credible and competitive again after arriving. And this while (in 2012-2014) the NFC West was the best division in football. He helped take them from the basement to mediocre.
I remember really enjoying the 2012 and 2013 seasons. You can absolutely make an argument that the Rams were in the top half of the NFL those two years. They simply hit a ceiling under him (mainly because of the QBs issue) that by late 2015 it was clear they would not break through. And then collapsed in 2016.
