Saffold will take the money and run. Someone will offer him well more than the Rams can pay and he'll take it. All this talk about a home town discount and loving the Rams is just that.... talk. Every one of these FAs is NOT going to turn down extra millions for the sake of loyalty. This is business. And I don't care that this is a 3rd contract. He's young enough to get probably a 4 year deal; and he is without doubt the best FA OG. And the market for OGs is a bunch higher than 4 years ago because of the new breed of DTs that can rush the passer.
Besides, with Whit coming back, the Rams can now move Noteboom in at Saffold's old position, and than after next season, move him over to Whit's old spot.
What the Rams have to do is to get some depth at OG, because I suspect we'll see Blythe play center next year.
