For me the ideal FA pickup after retaining Saffold, is CJ Mosley. Gives us a Pro Bowl level player at each level of the defense that is young and ascending.
I love CJ Mosley as a player but I'm also looking at what the Rams are more likely to do based on Wade's tendencies. He's rarely expended significant resources - money or draft capital - on the ILB position.
The truth is, it's not a position he places a high priority on. On the other hand, edge defenders and CB's are the positions on defense that he has shown to value the most.
So yeah Mosley may be an ideal pickup but I seriously doubt it happens with Wade as the DC.
