All of them got some opportunities in 2017 and showed something.

Littleton was one of the top specials teams players and was constantly flashing there...

Blythe got in backing up someone (Sullivan or Jcool smiley a couple of times in 2017 and played very decently...

JJ looked good at safety almost immediately his rookie year.

Ebukam I just don't remember.

So the question is, among our youngsters, who got limited playing time this year and made the most of it?

Noteboom played some snaps here and there and I think held his own very well. Plus he had the chance to get nearly all of the full-contact practice snaps at LT as they rested Whit.

JFM made some plays as a rookie - enough that I think he may have earned a chance to start, especially if he devotes himself to strength over the offseason.

Kiser?? Anyone notice how he did with his chances? Don't remember hearing his name on ST that often.

Obo pretty much did nothing - doubt he shows up this year.

So I would say the Rams DO promote from within - but to me it is most often when they have seen something from the player as a rookie.

Applying this knowledge to Kiser, we should not expect him to be a starter on D. He didn’t get many snaps on defense; they were all special teams.

Same with OBO.

Noteboom and JFM played a good amount of snaps and both did fairly well. They have a chance to start.

I wonder how this applies to Allen replacing Sullivan? Sulli was clearly the weak link on the OL and they'd save over $5M in releasing him but Allen didn't play.
