Yeah. I didn’t say they should
I said if they considered trading anyone Kupp would get you more
I am a little surprised that a team that includes McVay, Gurley, Woods, Cooks, and Jared Goff who everyone seems to think it is only youth that is keeping him from being elite would be opposed to moving Kupp if it meant improving another area of the team like edge rusher
For example - let’s say Kupp could be traded for a #1 and get the Rams back into the middle of the 1st round. You wouldn’t do that? Now according to RamUK Kupp is worth more than a 2 which I believe is his trade ceiling. But let’s say you could get a #1. You wouldn’t consider that trade? Given the Rams other offensive weapons?
Now the truth is none of this is going to happen. Your not getting a 1 for him and the Rams aren’t trading Kupp anyhow but what I find interesting is the level of consternation at the suggestion that he might be a good trade option on a team that is loaded with offensive weapons.
I do think that the Rams will be running fewer 3 WR sets next year anyhow. Seems to me schematically and personnel wise changes should and will be coming.
Talk to me guys
When you look at how our offense lost so much of its dynamics when Kupp went down, I'd say no way we trade him. Sure we can get more for him than Reynolds but our offense just didn't look the same without Kupp. Plus, I think it's important to have 4 good WRs so I wouldn't trade Reynolds either.
Find another way to get that edge guy. All IMO of course.
