Conversations are not strict and linear. They include people raising new points. As I did.
In terms of was that play a "poor throw"? I think that's badly exaggerated and entirely beside the point. It was good enough to be a TD if not for the especially brilliant play by the Patz DB. The idea that every pass has to be perfect strikes me as just irrelevant. The idea that the DB's play on the pass is not worth mentioning strikes me as just ignoring a key reality.
That wasn't' the point I was making, which you say you're not interested in anyway. But as long as you want my direct response to the issue of was it a poor pass, that's it.
Orlovsky's tweet with the vid in it is golden on that. He's one of the 2-3 best analysts out there, bar none, period. I think that ignoring his points leads to an incomplete and not all that realistic conversation.
