But you totally lost me with that argument.
I think Goff just threw a bad pass there. Not a good time to have a bad game. But I am convinced Goff is our franchise QB and will have better odds once Bilichik/Brady are gone.
Very important to me that people respond to what is actually said. For example you said I lost you. So what are the chances you responded to what I really said?
Whatever your summary is there, that's not my argument.
It's 2 points. Not one. So please follow both.
1. Half the argument is that play. And sorry but why wouldn't I like Orlovksy on that play. He's one of the 2-3 best play analysts out there. That particular tweet (the one with the vid I linked, which I suspect no one is looking at) appears endlessly on twitter because it keeps being re-tweeted by other professionals who keep praising it.
2. The other half of the argument---and it's not directly related to the first---is that a lot of people are simply failing to realistically account for how much pressure the offense was under. The OL being beat 70% of the time is just HIGHLY significant, and is not just one more fact among others. When a qb is pressured that much in a game, their play deteriorates. Now you can try to counter-argue that no some qbs do play well under THAT MUCH pressure, but good luck with that.
