One thing that I saw was Reynolds lack of toughness. He could never play for the Pats. Pats just hit him and he goes down and out of the play.
Rams were effectively playing with 2 WRs. And Pats doubled Woods taking him completely away. Gilmore on Cooks all night won almost every time.
Then lots of pressure on Goff to help confuse him. Add in Gurley MIA, and you get a 24 yr old QB hung out to dry who then sees ghosts.
Goff certainly was bad on his own, he missed throws in the 2nd half when he was already pretty beat up, but he got very little help all game.
Compare that to Roethlisberger in his first SB. BR got over 150 yards on the ground from Bettis and Parker. And also a trick play TD to Ward that BR had no part in. Sill, BR completed only 9 of 21 passes for 5.8 yds, with 0 TD and 2 INTs. Any talk of moving on from BR after that game? No. Cause they won in spite of him.
