There is luck in sports... And football is a game of inches where even the smallest error can change a game.

The refs had eaten the flags. But it was a penalty I think most would agree. This penalty just happened to be at the end of the game. If Brees was running and got his face mask pulled like Goff then we would be talking about how the officials missed the face mask... If it was the end of the game... An obvious game changer.

I have decided to welcome the good fortune that the officials for whatever reason didn't call a penalty. It happens all the time. The Rams weren't given the game. They earned it and IMO with the other stuff that happened in that game, they moire than earned it.
