he is undersized...no where near physical enough...there is an ice cream with his name...Mr. Softee.
He is basically an oversized receiver. In fact, I think he smaller than Julio Jones.
He cannot create space in the middle of the field.
Other than the inside the 5 yard line and a quick pass, he cannot run the middle of the field. He can't...he has no presence. Find one play where he ran the seam...sat down in the middle of the field during a zone. Maybe McVay is the blame for that because he doesn't run that route for him. But I contest he can't run that route which is why he doesn't.
He is a player that can play...just ok...outside the numbers.
We need a TE that can play in the middle of the field...and TE who creates space based on his size in the end zone.
Everett is not it. Higbee blocks and catches chain movers. I can live with that.
But we do not have a pass catching tight end on this team. If Kupp was playing, he could do almost anything that Everett could.
I mean...did you see Everett get knocked off his pattern today when Goff over threw him on the outside...he's too soft.
We have nothing in the middle of the field...our passing game is just inside the number to the sideline...and I think that is a huge opportunity for us to improve...even with our offense...because teams figures these things out.
You know the funny thing is...I pretty much know I'm alone on this...but I think to myself...it's so flippin' obvious and I really can't understand why others are not seeing it. He's not a TE.
