It's simple.
Saying that this OL, this coach, this system could elevate a lot of ROTs does not drop Hav to the bottom half of the league.
I didn't mean that, I didn't say that, I didn't think of it that way.
My view going back to last year is that Hav is solid and is a just below top 10 player at his position. I assume if they swapped him for someone else, no matter where he went, he would continue to be that.
But that this system and coach etc. would make that many other ROTs look better than they do where they are now.
Do a similar thing with qb. How many qbs in the league would look good playing for McVay in this offense? Just a handful? More than that? I think it's more than that.
Which takes nothing away from Goff, who obviously has special skills that have nothing to do with the system itself and were already evident at Cal.
