What the critics said is that several plays McV had some issues with situational awareness. Saying Denver is a good team because they blew out Arizona doesn't change that.
And McVay said precisely that himself about his own playcalling and situational awareness. (Even though some tried to think up ways he couldn't possibly have meant it.) Plus of course no one complained that the score was not a blow-out so that's not really a real issue.
There are all kinds of fans and they are all equally loyal and invested.
Some sometimes point out flaws along with celebrating victories. And the 2 things are completely compatible.
And while there may be a faction that goes around saying "don't criticize," there is no faction that goes around saying "don't celebrate." Even though saying one makes about as much sense as saying the other.
So yeah all kinds of fans....and it's all good, and that variety leads to a lot of good discussions.
