I agree with some of what you say, but I don't think that was really all of his points.... I do agree he inherited a very talented and very under coached team, Goff is a special talent that was a first pick in the draft and has helped McVay looked good, but I think the point is that McVay has seemed to get the most out of his talent in such a short time. Why are the Texans still struggling with a talent like Watson and Hopkins? Dak and Zeke? Etc... what McVay has done is historic, but I hope owners realize coaches like him don't grow on trees.
I do give some credit to Fisher...he had a pretty good eye for talent, he just didn't know how to maximize it. He brought home some tasty ingredients from the grocery store to the kitchen, he just wasn't a very good chef..
I'm watching other games these days and thinking "wow.... this team is boring"
McVay has raised the bar is the main point.....he's brought some clarity to the owners as to what great looks like.
