Namely, identify the desired core players and then go sign them. Supplement the rest through good drafting, FA, and trades.
The result? Rams never seem to lose a player that they REALLY want. And they are constantly replenishing their roster with inexpensive, smart, yet hungry youngsters.
Yeah, every team would love to do this since it’s both simple and effective. But the thing is that most teams can’t pull it off. They lack the FO cap management, or the skills to evaluate the talent, or the coaching. Some lack 2 and even all 3. No need to name names, we all know them.
