The first game is not the time to "get the rust off".
With the limits placed on practices, not playing during the preseason will not have this team ready against Oakland IMO.
I don't like it at all.
I look at the coaches I really respect in this league, past and present. They just don't pull this crap.
BTW...to dig at McVay (and others for the fun of it), you're buddy from Washington is playing his guys in San Fran. And the word is Jimmy G, the QB people cringe at on this board, is looking fabulous. And, their starters are playing!
