Just to be clear, dz...
Are you saying that AD impacts a team’s winning as much as a starting QB?
Do I have that right?
I'm saying that AD impacts a team's winning as much as
some starting QBs. Absolutely!
To be honest, some starting QBs impact their team in negative ways.
I've stated this before and got no responses:
"This may be blasphemous, but I think AD's impact is near that of a quality QB (not an elite QB like Brady or Rodgers)." And then I followed that up with stats, showing how our D steadily climbed from 27th to top 10 in points allowed once AD came back last year.
I'd say the same for Von Miller in 2015/16. You can't tell me that ALL starting QBs impact the game more than he did in the 2016 SB. He was dominant.
You can't tell me that the Ravens QBs impacted the game more than Ray Lewis did in the early 2000s.
There are sometimes, non-QB players that impact the game more than all but the above average QBs.
Let me be clear. AD is a tremendous asset and is a big part of the Ram success last year.
But we definitely disagree about his relative impact on wins and losses compared to a starting QB. Even mediocre QB’s affect games in terms of W/L more than a DL player possibly could. Note, this could be on either a win or a loss. We are talking “impact” here, aren’t we?
IMO, of course.
Not gonna even try to make my case. Wouldn’t hardly know where to start. Maybe each and every snap? Lol.
We’re gonna have to agree to disagree on this one.
