Forget the Rams are cheap stuff. If the Gurley and Cooks contracts don't prove it by now to those who keep up the "cheap" mantra, it's time to get a new line.
Donald isn't trying to become the highest paid D player, he may want to become the highest paid player period.
Won't happen. Here or anywhere. Not even close.
I've been saying for over a year that despite all the talk about the Rams wanting Donald to be a Ram for life that it is a most unlikely outcome.
He'll report on Aug 8. He'll play this year on the extension money. And 2019 and 2020 for Tag money. And he can scream "trade me!!" all he wants. Won't happen. Then goodbye Aaron.
And it won't be the Rams fault.
In fact, I have no doubt that the reason the Rams are signing guys right now whose contracts could wait a little longer, is to make sure they can save the tag for AD and not have 2 important guys that need and want, but only have 1 Tag between them.
Aaron Donald, you are not going to win this thing. The rules are stacked against you. And besides, you are sliding downhill on the PR battle.
