NFL is more than ever an entertainment.
RBs provide as much or more entertainment than any other position. Yet, they get much lower salaries on their 2 deals than almost every other position because they are viewed as fungible commodities that have a short useful playing time.
But what if Gurley held out next year? Or demanded a trade? Would another team be willing to pay him what KC gave Sammy Watkins? It seems like a no brainer to me that Gurley is worth more than Watkins.
