As to his ability in run support I think you have underestimated his contributions.

It was Ogletree who was the weak link against the run. No matter who the Rams put out there - Littleton, Wilson, Hager, or Kiser - there will be a huge upgrade in run support over what Tree provided. And with Barron and any of these guys at ILB behind Suh at NT I expect the Rams to improve dramatically on the 4.7 yards per attempt they gave up last year.
The Rams did a good job by getting rid of the main offenders in the porous run defense.
Addition by subtraction. I expect the LB unit to be better this year despite fewer big names and a lower salary allotment towards the position.
