Secondary looks elite for sure. But I think we need to wait and see how the pieces fit at LB before we crown this unit.
Would you say that this looks like a Top 5 D, Merlin? I sure would. Maybe even higher.
I’m no longer very concerned about our LB corps in this Wade D, especially considering how limited will be our 3-4 base snaps.
Ebu, for one, has really grown on me.
I see a ton of NRC snaps and expect Shields (yet another near elite player) to see the field a great deal depending on down and distance plus the score (presumably often will be a Ram advantage).
Not saying that LB is an afterthought, but am suggesting that it will be a distant third in importance after DL and secondary. This is exactly how Wade loves to roll, defensively. Get his best football players on the field and then exert maximum pressure.
When one thinks about it, this Wade D is really loaded.
