Look what Suh did.....he left money on the table from other teams...I bet his agent was not happy about that, but it seems as Suh has control over his life choices more than others do. AD IMO could do the same.....but again to each his own....
Suh has already signed a 2nd contract and made his bucks. When he signed his 2nd contract (in 2014) it was a record breaker. Not only that but Suh was drafted in 2010 before the new CBA, the CBA that kept Donald's contract money ridiculously low for who and what he is. Suh;s rookie contract was ridiculously higher than Donald's rookie contract.
3rd and 4th contracts are much more variable than 2nd contracts. 2nd contracts is where starting players cash in.
There's nothing in the logic of the situation which says that a 31 year old player signing his 3rd contract should set the parameters for a younger player up for his 2nd contract. Chances are if Suh were in front of you and you said "Donald should sign for less on his 2nd contract because you did on your 3rd" he would just scoff and just say "pay the man."
IMO Donald is one of the main reasons Suh signed with the Rams.
