I personally think putting it all on Fisher oversimplifies things and ignores too much. I don't want to get into it though, except to add this. This year, we don't want the Rams to play with a seriously busted OL and a Clemons or Hill or Davis at qb. It stands to reason that under those conditions the team would not do as well. We know that, it's obvious. It goes without saying.
But...no one is arguing against McVay. We all know he's good and we are all right to think he can get even better. Right now, of all the coaches the Rams have had since I started following them, going back to Knox I, I would rank McV 2nd only to Vermeil. (I think he's a more all around sane HC than Martz). He may even surpass DV some day, or at least he has a shot to do that.
