And in fact had pm discussions with max. He is very aware of my take on Wentz and Goff. I often talked to him under a different login about it.
My use of getting ahead of yourself is not a card. It simply draws a comparison between Rams43 and myself. He says there is no wrong choice given the choice of Goff v Wentz. I say it’s too early to know. We are only in year 3. Right now Wentz is clearly ahead with a solid rookie season and an MVP type year cut short by injury.
As far as what was posted prior to drafting Goff I’m not sure what point you are making. I am very aware of those discussions and in this very thread recount discussions that I had with max directly. What I specifically recall is you being above and beyond in love with a Goff (nothing wrong with that) Ram43’s preference for Wentz (which we shared) and Max and Saguaros preference for Goff. Of course none of that has anything to do with calling out max giving himself a pat on the back in this thread. I never questioned his take at the beginning. My point is he wavered on Goff like a lot of folks did and for the reasons I have stated and linked. I think zn would also support this take.
As for you being a mind reader and being able to interpret things that people are saying based on conversations you had two years ago rather than what they actually type... well Florida more power to ya pal! However, I am only responding to what I read.
And yup we all want a Goff to explode. I have been saying for months that I expect that to happen and have given specific reasons for it...and not said it just because or it feels good. There is evidence to support why I expect him to get better and not regress or expect defensive coordinators to catch up to him as others have said.
When I post I tend to try and be very thoughtful and don’t give opinions without giving considerable thought to them or for that matter being knowledgeable. Just not my style at all man

We know nothing for sure yet and easily one regression by Goff and continuing MVP season by Wentz in their 3rd season puts Wentz ahead even further. Very few people would even argue that Goff is the better QB after 2 seasons. On the other hand an explosion by Goff and regression by Wentz would have the opposite effect.
Its too soon to make a call either way
Also as far as Mariota and Winston I think the biggest advantage that Goff and Wentz have over them is McVay and Pederson
Good valid points on McVay and Pederson. Those were brought up many times during the 2016 season for various obvious reasons.
You weren't there in the board discussions during the pre-draft of 2016 Speed. Does that make you inept? no but you have been posting what some said and projected post 2016 draft period on this forum.
Using the getting ahead of yourself card is easy to throw out there as we need more time to make any projection a fact. No new revaluation there.
You also responded to me that max can speak for himself but if you read max's response to me he said "that" as in he agreed with what I posted.
I don't speak for other posters but I know what max and I along with Rams43 and others discussed on the board during the Goff/Wents discussions when you weren't posting during that time period.
Don't take that wrong my Rams brother but I know what I remember before the board crashed and I have a good memory of who was involved in those pre-drraft discussions.
The timeline of those discussions are paramount for me when it comes to telling people that all last summer they were off or what others are implying and labeling them as getting ahead of themselves. I know what they're saying/meaning when they post it. They are not making factual fantasy guarantees
They are speaking from positions they held during and after the Fisher era. I don't read their minds entirely but I get the gist of many of these posters that were sharing their insight a month or 2 before the 2016 draft concluded.
If you were involved in all those discussions you would probably understand what the intent of my response to your perception is. I could be wrong and you can simply draw all the dots and have all the evidence you need to draw your conclusions.
Doesn't matter we all want the same thing.. Goff to explode in 2018.
