I agree with all that.
In fact the downside is SO down that to me it outweighs the upside.
Plus they don't really get players on any savings from Donald. The way a deal will probably be done, they convert his 2018 salary into a pro-rated bonus. So in the end they save no money. They spend the same in 2018 either way.
All I will say is that it takes 2 to have an agreement.
